UK Vibe are an interior design company based in Surrey.
They required a web site which would look visually attractive whilst still being able to showcase their designs.
The site opens in the centre of the page to give a more artistic look. If users feel they would prefer the site stretched over the whole page, they have that option by clicking on a link at the bottom of the home page.
The home page gives some general information about the company, with the following "About Us" page being more specific about the services they offer.
The site includes a portfolio page which allows the users to view their designs in a slideshow presentation. Clicking on any image will bring up a pop-up window of the full size image allowing the user to scroll through each of the designs.
Additionally, the "Contact Us" page includes a facility for the user to request a call-back. This works by sending a text message with the user's telephone number to the head designer.
The latest addition has been a facility to send "E-Cards" from the site. On this page, users enter a friends e-mail address along with a message, then select a photo from one of the company's designs. An e-mail is then sent to that person with a link to the message. When the link is opened by the recipient, the site opens with the senders name, email address and message, along with the selcted image. The recipient has the option to then reply to the original sender in the same way. This is a useful way of attracting traffic to the site in a more interesting way than the normal "tell a friend" page.
Having met Easential to discuss ideas for my company web site, what struck me most was the understanding of that I wanted to achieve.
Being from a creative background, my computer skills are basic, but Easential explained their ideas in lay mans terms and not in computer jargon, which would have been intimidating.
On our second meeting, I felt confident that I had chosen the right company as the ideas were professional, straight forward and ultimately user friendly.
Once the site was up and running, the after care server has proved invaluable.
I have had no qualms about recommending their services to collegues and friends, who have shared my enthusiasm for their professional approach and attention to details.
